Services We Provide
Real Rhetoric seminars are designed with flexibility in mind. They can be tailored to the specific needs of a co-op group, class or other organization. Different methods of instruction and levels engagement can be used to address different educational goals. Some of the basic structures are presented below. For special cases, unique seminars can be created instead.
Students
Seminar content for students centers on a theme of civics and incudes debate, economics, politics, philosophy and government. Seminars include a balance of classroom instruction and hands-on student activities designed to put working knowledge to the test.
Parents
Seminars planned for parents are more technically complicated than the student seminars, and allot more time for concept development. Parents will have time for intensive Q&A, so they can feel confident that they are able to articulate course concepts to their students.
Tutors
Tutor seminars are structured to emphasize the teaching techniques involved in speech & debate. Tutors will learn how to explain and workshop the debate process, and provide students with relevant abstract concepts to make their research and argumentation more powerful.
