Welcome to the first course in the high school program, where we will familiarize ourselves with policy debate and develop proficiency in logical thinking and speaking. By the end of this program, we will have accomplished three primary course objectives: researching a resolution, building a case, and winning a debate round. This class is divided into four quarters with four lessons in each quarter. We will cover a different step in the debate process in each quarter, beginning with the foundational concepts of debate and moving towards having a complete debate case and winning a debate round.
